Anna Mary Allen, age 72, passed peacefully on September 27, 2017 surrounded by her loving family & lifted up in prayer as God called her home. Anna Mary is survived by her husband, Robert Kelly Allen of Kansas City and her children, Dominique Allen and his wife, Corly, Michelle Dulle and her husband, Scott, Scott Allen and his wife, Heather, Mark Allen and his wife, Tiffany, Shawn Allen and his wife, Angela, Ryan Allen, Matthew Allen, and his wife, Leslie; 11 grandchildren, Michael, Andrew, Mackinzie, Cooper, Kyle, Landon, Kyndall, Austin, Marissa, Taleah, and Treyton; and sister in law, Mary Agnes Neumann. She is preceded in death by her parents, John F. Neumann and Anna E. Neumann; brother, John N. Neumann; sister in law, Norma Neumann; brother, Francis H. Neumann; sister in law, Dorothy Neumann; and brother, Leo A. Neumann. Anna Mary was born on June 7, 1945 in Troy, Kansas, to parents John and Anna Neumann. She graduated from St. Mary’s Hospital with a degree in Nursing. In 1966 she started her career in nursing as an RN and surgical nurse. She worked at St. Mary’s Hospital, Liberty Hospital and NKC Hospital. Anna Mary was a loving wife, mother & grandmother. She married Robert Kelly Allen at St. Joseph’s Church in Atchison, KS on August 15, 1966 and the couple had seven children together. She and Robert raised their children in the Parkville, Missouri area and taught them the importance of God, love, family and service to others. Anna Mary was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in her nursing career for the majority of her life and retired after 50 years of service in September of 2016. She enjoyed easing anxieties, calming nerves, and exploring the latest equipment to perform her surgical nursing duties to their highest degree. Her nursing family will always remember her as a dedicated mentor, leader and trainer. A Rosary will be held Wednesday October 4th at 6 PM, with a visitation to follow from 6:30-9:00, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7207 NW Highway 9, Kansas City, MO 64152. A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, October 5th at St. Therese Catholic Church, at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
