Andrea Frances Lewis

On September 9th, 2024, Andrea Frances Lewis died in her home in Lathrop, MO. She was 64 years old.

Andrea is survived and greatly missed by her three children, Michael (Michele) Helmuth, Ashli (Nicholas) Hayes, and Basil (Eimile) Lewis, III. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Max, Lillian and Rex; brothers Norman and Roland LeDoux of Tobyhanna, PA; and Duke and Debbie LeDoux of New Jersey. She is also missed by her loving Aunt Peggy Ann Mosher of New Jersey. Andrea is preceded in death by her husband, Basil F Lewis who loved her deeply; parents Andre GH LeDoux IV and Frances Miller of New Jersey; and sister-in-law Camille Maria DeBlois LeDoux. She is missed by many friends, extended family, and her three sweet dogs.

Andrea was born on September 29th, 1959, in Mount Holly, New Jersey. She graduated from Pemberton Township High School in 1977 then attended Burlington County College through Fairleigh Dickenson University, where she graduated with her nursing degree. Andrea moved to Smithville, MO and married Basil Lewis in 1987 after they met while Basil was in the Air Force. Andrea was an avid baker and crocheter and friends and family would seldom leave her without warm hearts, full bellies, and leftovers. She was also a passionate sports fan, cheering on her Royals, Chiefs and Tigers. She also loved animals and rescued many sweet babes throughout her life who had beautiful comfort homes because of Basil and her.

A graveside memorial service for Andrea is scheduled for September 27th, 2024, at White Chapel Funeral Home at 10am. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Kansas City Pet Project.
