Alice Kraft, age 76, died surrounded by her family in her home on Sunday, March 6th, 2016. Her husband Edward preceded Alice in death after 50 years of a dedicated and loving marriage. On November 25th, 1939 Alice was born to Eva and Michael Volk where she was raised as a farmer’s daughter with strong ties to the Catholic Church. She lived her life after marriage by making a home for Edward and raising their three children. Her primary job was as homemaker and mother but she did on occasion work in various school districts making a good fit in keeping up with her home and family. Alice had many loves in her life including sewing beautiful clothes, draperies, and quilts. She was always looking for her next craft or sewing project. She collected many dolls over the years all of which remain impeccably kept in their original boxes. Alice had a love for beautiful things and a refined taste in home decorating. Alice provided many things to her family but most notable was her positive, uplifting outlook on life. She was always quick with a smile followed by a giggle that was contagious to all around her. This quality proved to be a priceless gift that has carried on to her children enhancing their lives by doing just as she had during the course of her life. A smile and a giggle. Alice is survived by her children: Sandra Wallop (Paul), Douglas Kraft (Robin), Kim Cin (Don). Grandchildren: Sage Marie Grendahl, Jared Grendahl, Nathan Kraft, Jena Silverness (Adam), Britney Cin, Cole Cin, Hunter Cin, and Alexis Cin. Great Grandchildren: Rylan Silverness and Beckham Silverness . And last, but certainly not least, is her beloved dog Maddie who was faithfully by her side every moment of every day during the last years of Alice’s life. Memorial contributions to honor the life of Alice can be given to St. Andrews Church in Gladstone, Missouri.
