Wilma Josephine Gomes

Born in Glace Bay she the daughter of the late Stanley MacLean and Mary Cummings.

Wilma was employed at the Cape Breton Regional District School Board as a Custodian and also employed over the years as a Hair Dresser. She was a member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church, she was loved by many family and friends, Wilma enjoyed going to Antique car shows with the love of her life Sheldon.

Surviving are her husband Sheldon Gilmour, son Jeremy both of Glace Bay,step-daughter Tanya (Rusty) Royal of Glace Bay, step-son Gary (Shayleen) Dartmonth, sisters Cathy (Stephen) Lewis AB, Marjorie (Robert) Overton AB, Shaunna Sydney, brothers Stanley Ont, Samuel (Vicki) Sydney, Francis (Gale) Sydney, grandchildren Ben, Dayne, 6 Nieces, 4 Nephew, and 1 great-nephew.

Wilma was predeceased by her parents.

Visitation for the late Wilma Gomes will be held on Wednesday April 25,2012 from 2-4pm, Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday April 25 at 4pm in Patten Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Reid officiating with burial in St Mary’s Anglican Cemetery.
