It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Pemberton on August 21,2015 in the Palliative Care Unit at the C.B Regional Hospital.

Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Margaret (Briand) Gracie.

Liz was an avid bowler, winning many awards and trophies. She also liked playing cards with the girls at Bridgeport Bingo.

Liz is survived by her husband John, daughter Donna (Blaine) Timmons Stewiacke, Sons David (Sharon) Pemberton Lower Sackville, John Pemberton Glace Bay, grandson Dylan Pemberton, granddaughters Elisha (Ken) Millard and Olivia Pemberton 2 great grandchildren, sister Alice Lewis Toronto, brothers Mabie Gracie Port Credit,Ont.,Billie Gracie Glace Bay and Danny Gracie Hamilton Ont. and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by infant sister Margaret; brothers James, Alfred, Leo and Charlie.

Cremation has taken place, a gathering of family and friends will take place on Tuesday August 25,2015 from 2-4pm in Patten Funeral Home 71 Union St Glace Bay.
