2024 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, N.S.
Born in Charlottetown PEI on October 21st, 1978 (but a Cape Bretoner always), he is survived
by his mother, Brenda MacDonald (Musick) of Tower Road, daughter Nicole MacDonald of Glace
Bay, brothers Tyler of Stratford ON., Lawrence (Lisa) of St. Marys ON., nieces Charlise, Hayden,
and Haillie, nephews Nathan and Lukas. Coady was predeceased by his father, Angus
MacDonald.
Coady was a loving, sometimes complicated man that loved his family immensely. He had a
charming personality and was the life of the party wherever he went. He made friends easily,
wherever he was, and had lots of them. He lived life to the fullest. Coady was a lover not a
fighter, however bowed down to no man.
Coady was a very hardworking man, and was known to always be very handy. He worked
different jobs over the years and was often at the top of his profession, whichever it was at the
time. Most notably, Coady spent time working in the oil patch for High Arctic Fracking or as an
oil burner technician. Whether Coady was working ‘out west’ or simply doing roofing, carpentry,
or other odd jobs, he always strived to be at the top of his game, the very best.
Coady had a deep love of the outdoors, especially being at ‘the cabin’ in Upper Grand Mira with
his family. He absolutely loved fishing and would never pass up the opportunity to be out on the
water casting a line. We know for sure he is casting one with his dad right now, always looking
for the big one.
Cremation has taken place, there will be no ceremony at this time. A memorial
service/celebration of life will take place at a future date. Those who wish to attend may contact
the family for more details. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by visiting www.pattenfuneral.com.
The family would like to express thanks to all medical staff from top to bottom for their efforts the
evening of August 14th.
Anyone who wishes to give donations can do so directly to the family, or to the Mental Health
Foundation of Nova Scotia.
