Heather was born December 9,1956 in Glace Bay. She was predeceased by her father Irvin Williams and her brother Jerry Williams. Heather leaves behind her mother Jessie (MacPherson) Williams, her brothers Robbie (Debbie), Frank (Roberta), Kendall (Kevin), Scott (Tammy), David (Barb), her sister Ann (Ron) Larade, her loving husband Chuck, her 2 sons Bruce (Norita) Pilling and Jody (Valerie) Pilling, her step-son Justin (Nidia) Spearing, her step-daughter Crystal (Jonathan) Boutilier, her 10 grandchildren Bryson, Gracie, Sophie, Isabelle, Lachlan, Rory, Anna, Catherine, Sarai and Judah and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. Heather loved each of us in her own special way.
Heather spent many years working in the dental industry. She made many life-long friends and truly enjoyed helping people, not only at work, but in life as well. When Heather spoke with you it was as if you were the only person important to her and she had all the time in the world for you. Her beautiful eyes just shined with love and compassion and she could see directly into your soul. After retiring she took a small job in the cafeteria at OVEC. She loved interacting with the students and she especially loved seeing her grandchildren come through the school. In the last few years Heather and her husband Chuck got deeply into searching for seaglass. She loved coming to see Chuck at his lunch time to show him the many treasures she had found on the beach. Her eyes would glow when she found a beautiful marble among the rocks. She especially enjoyed the times she was able to take some of the grandchildren with her on her latest treasure hunt.
Heather was a person with great Christian faith. Her love of the Lord knew no bounds and her favourite expression was “Thank you Jesus”. She loved spreading the message of hope found in Christ alone. We have joy knowing her next thought will be in the loving presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are also sad because we have lost a daughter, mother, step-mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and all around go to person whenever answers were sought to life’s many questions. 100 Pages would not contain the differences Heather made in so many lives. We love you Heather, Wife, Mom, Nan, Aunt. We will miss you dearly but rejoice knowing you are with the Lord. You are a finely polished marble that we know the Lord will treasure as we have.
Services for Heather will take place on Friday January 8, 2021 at 10 am in the Salvation Army Glace Bay. Do to COVID laws there will be limited seat available for a max of 50 people.
