Donkin
On August 14, 2017 Fraser passed away at the Glace Bay Hospital in his 86th year. Fraser was the son of the late Angus and Jeanette MacLean. Born and lived in Donkin, CB all of his life, he was an active member of St. Luke’s United Church and a member of their choir from his 16th year until his death. He was a member of the Donkin Citizen’s Brass Band from the time he was 12 years old to his demise. Fraser was retired from N.S. Power where he worked for 37 years.
Fraser enjoyed all kinds of music, played the accordion, sang with several musical groups and at one time was the director of a male chorus. He was an avid golfer, liked to garden and was a general handyman. He is survived by his loving wife Joan, sons Kevin, Scott and Glen, daughter Louise and their respective partners, several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Fraser was predeceased by brothers William, Archie, Stan, Jim and sister Agnes. He was the last surviving member of his family.
At Fraser’s request there will be no visitation or service, a private family graveside service will take place.
