Helen Moreno, age 76, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, died July 18, 2022, at home surrounded by her loved ones. A visitation will be at Gering Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 27 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm. Funeral services will be at Christ the King Catholic Church on Thursday, July 28, with Rosary starting at 10:00am and a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am with Father Mike McDonald officiating. Helen was born on April 3, 1946 in Mitchell, Nebraska, to John Garcia and Rachel Muro. She married Dale Dike in May of 1986 in Torrington, Wyoming, and they made their home in Gering. After Dale’s passing, she later married George Moreno.
Survivors include her sons, Gene Ramirez of Scottsbluff, and Frank (Marcia) Ramirez Sr. of Scottsbluff; brothers, Joe (JoJo) Garcia of Gering, Julian (Yolanda) Garcia of Gering, Ralph (Donna) Garcia of Scottsbluff, and David (Linda) Garcia of Pine Ridge; sisters, Jenny Rodriguez of Denver, Connie Martinez of Colorado Springs, and Lucy (Vince) Martinez of Alaska; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are her parents; first husband, Dale Dike; late husband George Moreno; brothers, Richard and Frank Garcia; and sister, Elizabeth Owens.
