She was one of many teachers of mine. I can say however she was also one of my favorites. I always looked forward to seeing her, she always had a smile and always ready with a hug. I truly loved her and the person she was. She used say I could be anything I wanted all I had work hard and believe. She knew I came from a divorced home but always made me feel special.  She loved me when I didnt. RIP Ms Boggan I will always love you.

Mrs. Boggan was my oldest child’s 3rd grade teacher. I remember the projects she assigned were engaging & meaningful. She would ask how my child by name was I saw her in the grocery store. She was a friendly, Christian & will be missed.

Sweet memories of a sweet friend. Remember many nights at her house when we talked late into the night and laughed about what had happened at school that day. And of course memories of her sweet parents. Thanks for the memories, dear friend. Rest in peace.

Mr.  and Mrs. Boggan were the kindest couple.  They came to Mark and my house every week to watch Survivor and eat a meal together.  Mark passed away in 2013 and Mrs. Boggan was at the funeral but the dementia had already robbed many of her memories.  She didn’t know why we were in DeFuniak Springs and wanted to know where Mark was.  All my family loved the Boggans.  I have a story I want to tell about Mrs. Boggan’s most well spent money.  I’ll try to get it together and post here or on my FB page.   

Mrs. Boggan was my 3rd grade teacher at R.L. Austin Elementary School many years ago.  She noticed I was a shy child and tried many times to pull me out of my shell, so to speak.  My prayers are with her family as they go through this time of mourning.

This, too, shall pass.

First of all I would like to say how sorry I am to the family. Mrs. Boggan was my 3rd Grade Teacher.  I was talking in the hallway one day and she yelled Tracey Lynn Tolbert! How little did I know, 8 years later would I meet her son Michael and fall head over hills in love, & with the whole Boggan family! Not only was Mrs. Boggan my favorite Teacher, but she was "Mom."  She taught me love & respect, love for family.  I remember all those evenings with Michael at their house and supper time! She loved her family so much & she was a hard worker. She always helped Mr. Boggan anyway she could in his shop, was always by his side. I remember spring time and the garden they would plant. I remember even after Micheal passed, going places with them. We went grocery shopping in Andalusia and I was sitting between them in the truck. We had ice cream on the way home. My heart is flooded with precious memories today. She will always live in my heart. I loved her so much, but I am comforted to know that she loved the Lord and is now in Heaven with Jesus, her Parents, John, Kenneth, & Michael. Till we meet again, Rest in Peace Mrs. Mary Ellen Boggan.

I taught with Mrs. Boggan at R.L.Austin. She was such a sweet person. We had many long talks together. She definitely cared about people and her students and worked very hard .
Family, God will sustain you during this difficult time. 

Mrs. Boggan was my 2nd grade teacher at Austin Elementary. She was a sweet and loving teacher. Sending my Deepest and Sincere Sympathy to the Boggan family. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven can not heal. 

Mrs. Boggan was my 3rd grade teacher at R. L. Austin.  I remember her as kind and loving.  God bless her family during this time of loss.

Mrs. Boggan was my third grade teacher at RL Austin. She taught us cursive, the capitals of all the states, multiplication, and many other things. My fondest memory of her though is making candy apples for us at Halloween, and in the spring time giving us Kool-Aid in a little Dixie cup. 

Mrs. Boggan was a wonderful teacher. She  loved her school and her students and worked hard to support them and her community. She was dedicated and committed. Wonderful memories of her and her fall festival candy!

So sorry to hear about Mrs. Boggan, we worked together at Austin Elementary, she taught my daughter and was honored to call her my friend. Prayers for the family.

Mrs. Boggan was my 3rd grade teacher at Georgiana Elementary during integration.  I was the only African American in her room and she treated me as just one of her students.  I didn't realize the significance of that then.  But years later, I got it.  She made a great impact on my education and life.

Mrs. Boggan was my third grade teacher  over 36 years ago and she was also one of my favorites. I was just thinking of her a couple of weeks ago. She made the best candied apples and had all of the best candy every year for the fall carnival. She was a wonderful person. My condolences to the family.

I had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Boggan at R.L. Austin Elementary School in the mid- nineties.  She was so passionate about teaching and loved her students dearly. She was always encouraging others to do their best every day. She gave 110% in all that she did in the classroom. I’ll forever remember you, Mrs. Boggan. Rest well, sweet lady. 

She was my Thrid grade teacher, was a loving and kind woman.  May she Rest In Peace. 💞❤💞💞

Ms. Boggan was my 3rd grade teacher. Because of her influence, I chose teaching as my profession as well. After 30 years, I still love what I do. I have such fond memories of my time in her classroom. I’m thankful for the love she showed to me and others. She will be missed!

Mrs. Boggan was my 3rd Grade Teacher! She was a nice Teacher! 

I met Mrs Boggan when I was in 3rd grade.  She was not my teacher, but all of the 3rd grade went outside together.  I really got to know her when she taught my children at R L Austin school. She was a sweet person who cared about her students. She wanted them to do their best. 

I began teaching at R L  Austin Elementary in 1990. Mary Ellen Boggan quickly took me under her wing of protection. I had another mother in Mary Ellen. We shared love and celebrations as well as heart aches. The world will miss her kind gestures. I'm sure she was welcomed with outstretched arms by her angel parents. She loves them dearly. I'm comforted to know they are rejoicing in heaven.
