Carol Lavonne Gafford, 80, resident of Terrell, Texas passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 22, 2017 from Mt. Carmel Cemetery with Rev. Randy Sexton officiating. Johnson Funeral Home of Georgiana, AL directing arrangements. Carol was preceded in death by her son, Parris Scruggs, and husbands, Tracy Scruggs and James Gafford. Survivors include: Daughters: Lynn Bond, Kaufman, TX and Patty Scruggs, Austin, TX; Sisters: Martha Skipper and Ann Foster, both of Greenville, AL, Kitty Stuart, Atmore, AL, and Diane Morgan, Montgomery, AL; Brothers: Ralph Newton, Georgia, Ray Newton, Andalusia, AL, and Ronnie Newton, Greenville, AL; Grandchildren: Teisha Bond, Galveston, TX, Amanda Snyder, Ft Hood, KY, and Savannah Tyree, Terrell, TX.
