Born September 10th 1974, a true Texan. Will lived all over our great state at one point or another in his life from Baytown to Corpus Christi. He was sadly taken from us too early and went to be with the Lord our Father Jesus Christ on May 14th 2016. William Michael was a wonderful and unique man, his heart was as big as the Texas sky and his love for people was even bigger. He was a loving father, son and brother. He worked in the Service industry for years until finally settling at his dream job in Corpus Christi, Texas, working as the dining room manager for Mirador Senior living. He loved his job and the people there, he was happy and had high aspirations for the future. William Michael had the gift of gab and loved to be around all people, his interest in people was genuine and heart-warming. He had an infectious smile and goofy laugh that you just couldn’t not help but laugh along. He loved to fish and hang out with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by Helen and EJ Chamblee, grandparents; Gladys and Fred Griffin, Grandparents; William (Bill) Frank Griffin, father. He is survived by his son, Joshua Griffin; Parents Rebecca and Stephen D. Lycan; Siblings Stephen D. Lycan II; Thomas Lycan and wife, Jamie; Ginger Lycan and husband Chris Milne. Will was a proud uncle of two Nieces and two Nephews, and several loving Cousins and Aunts.
Service for William Michael will be held at Cook Walden Davis Funeral home in Georgetown, Texas, 2900 Williams Drive, 9 am on Monday the 23rd of May, 2016, and a graveside service will follow at Central Texas Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, Texas at 11 am. All are welcome to join the family at both or either service. William Michael was a kind soul and he will truly and deeply be missed by the many people whose lives he touched. Our family would like to express our profound gratitude to everyone at the Mirador who enriched William’s life so deeply. We thank them for taking such good care of our beloved son, father and brother. Words cannot not express how overwhelmed we were to hear how loved and cherished he was to you all. Thank you.
William Michael may you rest in Peace until we meet again in Heaven.
