Virginia and I were friends for over 30 years she was my ride or die bestie and l will definitely miss her l know she is doing her nursing in heaven,she is truly miss by the Mays and Banks family

Nell and I grew up together living a street over in the neighborhood. We both attended the same church where both our Mothers closely participated in the church. We went to Carver High where her Aunt Aggie taught us both 1st-2nd grades. We went thru High School together and after Graduation we both went to work at Seton Hospital, her in Nursing and me in X-Ray for many years. When I Retired in 2017 she was still there over seeing the Cardiac patients’ Telemetry Monitors. She was one of the best there to do the job! Her co-workers looked up to her. Nell was a Bridesmaid in my Wedding. She bestowed upon me the honor of being Godmother to her only child, Toni. Nell was a dear friend, a caring Mother, Grand and Great Mother, a passionate caregiver to her patients. I will miss our frequent phone calls. To her family left behind please know that she is above in Heaven watching over ya’ll. I know she loved ya’ll so much because she would share that with me often. She’s up there celebrating now with Brenna, Tinker, Linda Kay, Billy Charles her Dad and all the rest of her love ones gone before her. Toni I’m here for you, just a phone call away, day or night. Rest In Peace My friend til we meet again!

Commemorating Virgina Nell Moore 

Virginia Moore was a beloved Seton/ Ascension employee for 41 years.  She began working at Seton Main in 1980 as an LVN.  In 1990 she transitioned to work as a telemetry technician.  Virginia was instrumental in the ground breaking centralization of cardiac monitoring at the CTMU at Ascension Connect in 2017.  Virginia's passion for cardiac monitoring, patient safety, and advocacy was a positive influence to her fellow telemetry technicians at the CTMU.  Virginia had an amazing rapport with the nurses at the front line as she partnered with them in delivering safe patient care .

Virginia was selfless in her care for her family and co-workers.  She will be missed!

I am so sad to know Virginia has passed.  

She was already working on 3rd floor when I started at Seton in 1998.  Her work ethic was dedicated, dependable, and committed.  Knowing she was watching the rhythms of my patients made me feel at ease.

Virginia visited me when I gave birth to my 1st born, Luke in 2008.  She gave me much motherly advice over the years and always asked about my boys.  

Funny story:  When I was relieving her in the monitor room for her lunch, I had logged onto my husband's Pandora account to have a little music playing.  Virginia didn't realize it was my account and edited the favorites on it to R & B Love Songs.  When my husband logged onto it himself, R & B Love Songs was playing.  They had a good laugh when my husband called the phone in the monitor room to joke with her about it.

I will miss you, Virginia.  You were an awesome person.

I'll always be thankful that Virginia was my mentor at Seton. She pointed me in the right direction and let me fly. Rest in peace, Virginia, you have earned it!

I’m gonna miss my Aunt Nell !! I know she’s in a better place called Heaven 💜 ; No more pain ! I’m very grateful for The things she did to help me and my kids! I remember as a child I would be excited when she would come cause she would always bring something we could use wether it was food, clothes or a piece of furniture … I also remember riding in her Red Camero jamming out , it was the 1st time I heard  “Practice what you preach” by Barry White. She was slow to take and quick to give!! She was my auntie and I Thank God for the years we had her!! Rip Mom; RIP Aunt Nell!! I love you both very much and y’all both will be missed ! ❣️💜😇

It is with great sadness that I write this. I worked with Virginia for many years at Seton Main Hospital. My thoughts and prayers are with her family; they were always a priority for her. She was an awesome nurse and took such great care of the patients. She was always willing to lend a hand and a pleasure to work with. Also did a great job and was one of the best at keeping up with the heart monitors and updating the doctors, nurses and other staff. Wonderful team player.  Great fun memories.

I’m sorry to hear this. Worked with Virginia at Seton for several years in the 90’s. She was certainly a great nurse. She was fun. She was caring. And needless to say, I had to work hard to keep up with her. I will hold fond memories. And her great smile. Rest In Peace, my friend. 

I grew up with her and her sister Linda Kaye. We live in the same neighborhood and attend the same school, George Washington Carver. Her Aunt was my 1st grade teacher.
