Bob spent his entire life in the Austin area. He graduated from Johnson High School in 1967 and went on to a lifelong job with the State of Texas, working many years in the State Capital's maintenance department until his retirement. Bob suffered an injury at birth that became a challenge as he grew older; we are all so very proud of Bob that he was able to provide for his independent living throughout most of his life. Like all of us, Bob had his individual characteristics, often stubborn like many of us and humorous at the same time. He greatly enjoyed watching television shows with his Aunt Babe while on the phone with her. Bob was considered one of Pepsi products favorite supporters and often enjoyed collecting large quantities of various products for future use. He was known as an avid coin collector and had valuable coins of which he was so proud. During his early childhood Bob enjoyed spending many days with his maternal grandparents, often staying with them and enjoying ice cream for many weekends.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ashwood (Woody) and Helen Cox, and a brother, Ashwood (Woody) Cox of Lafayette, Indiana. Survivors include two brothers: William (Bill) Cox and his wife Jennifer of Georgetown, Texas and Ronald (Buddy) Cox and his wife Cathy, of McKinney, Texas, and two nieces, Mary Beth Kenney of San Diego, California and Jennifer Vestal of Cleburne, Texas, along with several other relatives.
