We finally got your headstone placed and I know you love it ❣️

he always fixed and thought us how to ride dirt bikes and four wheelers 

When we lost you, we lost a BiG part of our Transportation Department.   I had only none Joe for a short time, but I feel like I knew him forever. He was one of those types of people.  He took me in and made me feel apart.  He will be greatly missed.  This man was on top of taking care of it all.  He made the days fun and enjoyable with his amazing sense of humor!  He was one of a kind. Fly  High J.B. 

Joe was the best! He took such good care of us at the bus barn, and worked so hard to make sure our buses were safe and ready so our athletes and coaches could be successful. I admired his work ethic and attitude towards his job so much! He was a great example to us all, and he will never be replaced! What a great man who was always at the top of his game! The bus barn won’t be the same. My prayers and love goes out to you all. 



I look up every afternoon , expecting you to walk into the break room & start writing on the dry erase board, getting ready for tomorrow.  You always had a smile, a joke, encouraging words if I needed them,  & let’s not forget the tooth pick. We miss you like crazy!!!! RIP Joe “ Pittsburg” Janice. 

I cannot express enough appreciation for Joe. What I appreciate the most is the honest conversations. Joe was an appreciated throwback to the honest, tell it like it is, feelings don't get hurt conversations. He always told me what I needed to hear. Straight to the point. It helped me so much at work. He also was there to listen and talk to when my father passed some months ago. It is evident with your absence this new year, that you were the glue here at work for so many, definitely for me. I will miss our banter, and the exchanges of wit. Joe was always around somewhere at the bus barn every time I went to pick up a bus for a game and would make it a point to wave me down and ask how the team we were playing that night was going to look and what we had coming up.  He genuinely cared about people and would drop everything for you.  He proved that a couple of times when he came all the way to Seguin to fix a bus in in the rain for us, drove to Dripping Springs to trade out a bus that wouldn't go faster than 40 mph on the last half of our trip and would always answer the phone at night when we would call because we could never remember how to turn the new alarms off after a late night game.  The door got us every time!  He was always there to lend a helping hand with the biggest smile and loved to joke around with us when he could.  Joe has already been dearly missed by myself and so many others that have been grateful enough to cross paths with this cowboy.  How's that toothpick Joe?!    Rest in peace.  Thoughts & prayers to the family!

I will miss seeing you riding around on your cart, hitting me with it as I sat in the chair or is jumping pot holes as I hung on for dear life. Love ya buddy!!

Prayers for the family. Joe was a great guy as a boss and a freind. We will have many great memories of him and cherish everyone. He will be greatly missed.

I am at a loss on what to say about Joe, he was so many things. A teammate, co-worker and friend. He touched the lives of everyone he knew. He was always there to lend a helping hand, give advice or tell it to you straight. He did not sugar coat his opinions, they were honest just like he was. I know he loved his family very much and looked forward to all the good times they shared. I will miss laughter and smile. Rest In Peace # 64

I have the best memories of doing bus duty with Joe, he always made us laugh and made the time fly by. I appreciate all the help he gave the coaches with all our transportation needs. Joe will be greatly missed. May peace be with his entire family. 

I'm going to miss seeing Joe over at the bus barn. He would always ask how the team's were doing and what I thought about the game. He was helpful and could make you laugh by his comments. May he rest in peace and many blessings to the family of Joe. He was a good one! 

Good ol Uncle Joe!! You will always be my favorite! I share stories about you all the time and I always will. I have So many wonderful memories with you. I will forever cherish you in my heart. I always have :)

Joe, I’m still grappling with the fact that you’re really not with us anymore. My memories of you are filled with fondness, fun, laughter and support. You were one of the best things about working for the Liberty Hill transportation department.  Thank you for the many laughs and friendship. Love ya Joe!

My father was and always will be my hero ,  i have looked up to him my entire life . I am beyond deeply saddened with this outcome . I would give anything to have one more day . I miss his crazy smile with a tooth pick in his mouth litterally always . I will carry you name on forever day .Im very thankful for the time that i got to have with . Joe was a great team member at LHISD. I especially appreciate his ability to affirm and encourage myself and others.  A smile, laugh, or helping hand was always ready.  A good man.
