He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Marlene Uvonna Williams, his father Jesse James Williams, mother Bonnie Oliver and stepfather Fred Johnson. James is survived by brother, Willie Ray Williams and wife Hazel; his son, Ricky James Williams; and daughter, Cynthia Marlene Williams Park. James was a hard worker who provided for his family. He spent 30+ years as a brick mason in the local union #8. When he retored he held down a full time job keeping his spot warm at Archies Cafe while entertaining the waitresses and keeping them on their toes. He was known by many names, Red, Bud, Doug, JD, Jim and Boppa! If you knew him, he loved to laugh, joke, tell stories and was full of tall tales. Red was an avid outdoors man who spent his time in Colorado hunting mule deer, bear and brought home two record book elk. He loved hunting in the Yeawall bottom with his coon dogs and fishing.
"So Boppa, words can never express how much you meant to us and have touched our lives and will forever be in our hearts."
