James Michael Girouard was born November 1, 1997 in Georgetown Tx. He passed from this life August 7, 2023 at the age of 25. James graduated from Jarrell High School in 2016. He played the trumpet, often having solos between quarters during his football games. In the same fashion, James helped his football team go to state, won award after award in track and field, and excelled at basketball. James worked as a diesel mechanic with two of his older brothers. James had one speed: running. He ran from truck to tool chest to truck all day, slowing down just long enough to talk smack to his brothers.
James loved being outdoors, and when he wasn’t in the pool with Jacey he was in the lake or hiking around it. James always had a passion for fitness, and he always had a six pack and a tan. He was beautiful, inside and out. He was an excellent artist, he loved antique tools, and he was never a stranger to leftovers. He ate them ALL. James had a huge heart and would do anything for anyone, most of all his family. Family was everything to James. He loved his brothers beyond measure, but his greatest love was his daughter Jacey. He spent every free minute with her and for her. He was a great father, and she was his everything.
James was loved by his daughter Jacey, his brothers Mark, Josh, Matthew, Michael, Jacob, his dad Mark Girouard, his mom Mary Downing, his bonus dad Jim Evans, his best friend Michael Schwertner, his closest cousins Jacob Guthrie, Amanda and David Cadenhead, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Sunday August 13, 2023 from 1-2 pm at Cook-Walden Davis funeral home in Georgetown. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm at the funeral home.
Anyone whose James life touched is welcome to attend, pay respects, or say a prayer for James and his family.
