Jim is preceded in death by his father Joseph, his mother Ellen, and his brother Frank.
Jim was born in Temple, Texas on August 31, 1945. He met his lifelong love Sharon on the east side of Houston, where they raised their children. Jim embarked on a 40-year career with the Houston Chronicle, working his way up from a paper route to the Packaging Department Manager.
Jim was a loving father to his sons, and an adoring grandfather to his five grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, spoiling his dog Nico, and relaxing with Sharon and friends in and around Georgetown.
Jim’s wish to be cremated has been honored. Due to COVID-19, a shared celebration of Jim’s life will occur on a future date yet to be determined.
