Harold Moore, age 78, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012. He was born on January 14, 1934 in Lampasas, Texas to parents Samuel David Moore and Elizabeth Emoline (King) Moore. Harold was a member of Crestview Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Woodmen of the World.
He was a Little League coach for seven years, President of Little League in Georgetown for one year and District Babe Ruth Commissioner for one year.
Harold served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War where he received such achievements as Korean Service, National Defense, P.U.C., China Service, Good Conduct and United Nations ribbons.
He was a self-employed contractor who liked building things and working in the yard. He loved his grandchildren. Harold was known for his caring heart, always taking care of his family and spending time with all of their activities. He loved his family and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Charlsie Ann Moore; daughters, Cheryl Ann Moore and Vickie Jane Nunn and husband Ronny; son, Danny David Moore and wife Janet; granddaughters, Brandi Nicole Nunn, Britni Leigh Nunn and Abigail Irene Moore; great granddaughter, Jessica Jane Alff; honorary granddaughter, Sarah Rogers; and sister, Wilma Nell Bisang.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00- 8:00 P.M. Monday, September 10, 2012 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home with Reverend Dan Wooldridge officiating. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Georgetown.
Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Ray Russell, Mack Russell, Wesley Russell, Justin Russell, Kyle Beam, Chris Rogers, Jay Phillips and Cameron Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Phillips, Robert Phillips, Jacky Russell and Steve Howell.
