General Marion Dotson Jr.

General M. (Tiny) Dotson, Jr. was born December 23, 1942 in Blanco, Texas, the son of General M. Dotson, Sr., and Hazel (Dyer) Dotson. Tiny was a veteran of the United States Army and worked for Texas Crushed Stone for over 38 years. He was a member of the Strickland Grove Church of Christ. Affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Grandpa Train”, Tiny enjoyed model railroading, as well as music.

Tiny was preceded in death by his parents, General Dotson, Sr., and Hazel Dotson; and by his wife, Renate Dotson. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Cheryl Dotson; daughter, Polly Dotson; grandchildren, Brandon Garrison, Chris Collier, Lizanne Hatfield, Anthony Collier, Joseph Townsend, Jackie Scruggs and Lionel Scruggs, David Little and Allison Little; great-grandchildren, Gabriella Scruggs and Vincent Little along with 14 other great grandkids. His brothers and sister in laws Claude and Ruth Dotson, Donnie and Sandy Dotson and Dale and Susan Dotson and his sister Emma Bell. Their children Nanette Hughes, Claudette Price, Cathy Bell, Jesse Bell, Glenda LaRocca, Jennifer Reeves, Dawn Hahn, Tina Mcgarry, Bonnie Parks, Donnie Dotson, Scotty Dotson, Becky Piatt, Jacob Dotson, as well as their children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 12:00pm-2:00 pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm with Richard Horn officiating.
