David Anthony Silvestro

David Anthony Silvestro, 58, of Panama City Beach, FL, passed away suddenly at home on 03.07.2024 after a short illness.

He was born in Redlands, CA on 03.14.1965 (Pi Day) to Anthony & Grace Silvestro, and graduated from Simi Valley High School in 1983, with honors. He won a full-ride scholarship for an essay contest to DeVry Institute of Technology in Phoenix, AZ and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

Dave excelled throughout his career working for NASA, travelling all over the world in technical sales for Tivoli & IBM, then later as a Senior Cyber Security Curriculum Developer for Oracle and Okta.

Dave was a lover of trail running, all things history or Italian, old books & antiques, tacos, and tinkering on his vintage 1972 Mercedes 280 SEL & 1965 Ford F100 pickup. We called him our own personal MacGyver, as he could fix anything. Woodworking, electrical, automotive, and computers & tech (of course) – he could find a solution. Dave has recently moved to Panama City Beach with his fiance, Angie, who he shared many great adventures with.

Dave’s greatest joy was his children, Bryan & Madeline Silvestro. He was a classic hands-on Dad, taking them camping and on long road trips, constantly championing their interests, and attending almost every theatre event, concert, soccer game or military ceremony.

He is survived by his children, Bryan & Madeline Silvestro of Austin, TX; his Fiancé, Angie Nace, of Panama City Beach, FL; his father, Anthony Silvestro, sister, Linda Loebach, and brother, Andy Silvestro, of Bakersfield, CA.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Silvestro, and nephew, Kevin Loebach.

Funeral Services will be held on 04.13.2024 at 10 am at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Dr, Georgetown, TX 78628. A Rosary will precede the service at 9:30 am, with burial to follow.
