Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dalton. He was a close friend of mine through junior high school and high school. We also played on the HS soccer team together. He was one of the smartest and funniest people I've ever known. I have many great memories of Dalton, but I will leave this one. In 8th grade English, we all had to do a book report. Most of us just gave a summary of the plot. When it was Dalton's turn, his report was on a Louis L'Amour western, as he was an avid reader of these books. He named all of the main characters in the book, and physically acted out what each one's personality was like. He had the whole class roaring with laughter, including the teacher. His Mom was our substitute teacher on a few occasions, and she was a very sweet lady. My condolences to all his family. Rest in peace, old friend.

I am so sorry over the loss of Dalton. I will always love him. He shared a special part of my daughters life and was a great father for my grandchildren.  

Although it has been many years since I have seen Dalton and life has brought many changes ,it seems he still had his smile.  My deepest sympathy to all the Kaye family 

I have been flooded with nostalgic memories of growing up in Massachusetts and all the great times that our families spent together.  Having grandparents in Cape Cod also made for great memories.  

Among many great memories, I’ll point out one of the most memorable.  The time we got to watch home movies of some great battles on the football field at 10 Elm Place.  It involved chest bumping between combatants.  There were many epic basketball and football games between our families that included trips to the hospital for injuries. 

Dalton  became as close as a brother by our late teens.  I followed him to Texas in 1983 and he stood up with me, along with my younger brother, for my wedding in 1986.   In addition to many great times together,  Dalton was also there for difficult times and I greatly appreciated his support.

While we weren’t as close in later years, we always enjoyed our time together and would reminisce.  I am so thankful that I had the chance to visit with Dalton and Auntie Char after Betty Egger’s funeral in Cameron.  Lynn and I were just talking two weekends ago about going to Austin to visit them. I am sorry we didn’t have a chance.

While we very much feel the loss, our hearts and prayers go out to Auntie Char and the family.
