Charles Whisenhunt, age 81, of Georgetown, Texas, formerly lived in Abilene, Texas, Lubbock, Texas and Austin, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. He was born on November 11, 1933 in Abilene, Texas to parents J.B. and Tressie (White) Whisenhunt. Charles was a graduate of Abilene High School. He worked for many years in the banking industry and was a volunteer at The Caring Place.
He is preceded in death by his wives Monnie Christine Pierce and Judy Baggett.
He is survived by his children, Steve Whisenhunt and wife Jo Ann of Ft. Worth, Texas, Elsie Gable and husband Jeff of Dallas, Texas, Danny Whisenhunt of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Kyle Whisenhunt and wife Stephanie of Round Rock, Texas; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, April 17, 2015 in the chapel of the Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown with Reverend Greg Lanier officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Williams, Michael Whisenhunt, Johnathon Gable, Jeff Gable, Chris Norwood and Shane Shaw.
