Carol Fisher, 75, of Georgetown, Texas, passed away on the morning of Sunday, January 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with PSP. Carol was born in Baltimore, Maryland on September 24, 1941 and grew up in Howard County, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late John and Dora Deavers of Ellicott City, Maryland. Carol retired from Hershey Creamery in Elkridge, Maryland and The Texas Council on Family Violence in Austin before settling near the water in Lago Vista, Texas.
Carol leaves behind two daughters, Vicki Andrews and Shari Fisher; her grandchildren, Jon and Jaeme Andrews, Jasmine Fisher and Moriah Washington; two cherished great grandchildren; brother, William Heber; cousin and lifelong friend, Frank Heber; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Betty Custer.
Carol’s joyous spirit overcame her worldly struggles. She was an incredible person and loved spending time with her family. Her passion for travel led her to the Caribbean, Alaska, and as far as Africa with her “Buddy” of 68 years, Doll Tyson.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas.
