Barbara Lea Gibbs

Barbara was born on October 12, 1931 in Grove City, Pennsylvania to Sara Eleanor Robson and Leonard (Red) Kendall Robson. Marrying Charles William Gibbs in 1955, together they were dedicated in raising three boys, Douglas Charles, Bradley William, and Curtis Lee Gibbs.

Much of her life was spent in Western Pennsylvania (mostly Erie, PA) with Charley and the boys as a stay at home mom then building a rewarding career with Hallmark Cards. After retirement, Barb and Charley spent several years living in Sebring, Florida and Killen, Alabama before settling down in Austin, Texas to be near her son, Douglas, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charley; her sons; and her grandchildren, Christopher, Magan, Douglas II, Haley and Ava. She is also survived by her most recent joys in life, her great-grandchildren Addi, Alia, and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her beloved Thunder (the wonder-dog) whom we are certain is happy and in her arms at this moment.
