William Stephen Harrell

William Harrell, 79, of Gastonia passed away Tuesday November 14, 2017 at Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte. William loved his family – especially his grandkids. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. William loved his church and the many friends he had there. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. William was a huge UNC fan. William was also a proud United States Navy Veteran. He will be missed by many.

William is the son of the late Eunice Thrower Harrell and William Boyd Harrell.

Left to cherish the memories of William are his wife Janice Harris Harrell, daughter Beth Harrell Bass and husband Kevin and son Greg Harrell and wife Christi. William also leaves behind his grandchildren Bailee, Kaleb, Brynna, Eliza and Brooklyn.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Thursday November 16, 2017 at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church, 426a Woodlawn Ave., Cramerton.

A Celebration of William’s Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday November 17, 2017 At Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church. Burial and Committal with Military Honors will be at Forest Lawn West, 4601 Freedom Drive, Charlotte, following the Celebration of Life Service.
