Walter ‘Adam’ Burger III, age 40, passed away on Tuesday ~ May 12, 2020 at his residence after a lifelong battle of health issues and is now in the arms of his Lord and Savior. Adam was raised by his parents to be a man of God and over the last days of his life, he left this world with a peace of mind that he had made things right with God. Adam left a giant void in his mom’s life when he left this life, but she knows he is in a much better place today. Adam was a huge Dallas Cowboy’s fan and loved their teams of the past and their current quarterback, Dak Prescott. Adam’s father, Walter, Jr was a Washington Redskins fan and each year it created an interesting and competitive season. Not only is Adam going to be missed by his mother, he is going to be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Those left behind to cherish Adam’s memories are his mom: Gail Hancock Burger of the home; two daughters: Sy'Ryia Southerland of the home and Aleigh Lowery of Gastonia, North Carolina; god brother: Chris Hopper of Gastonia, North Carolina; two sisters: Shauna Burger of Gastonia, North Carolina and Shurie Johnson Smith and husband Chris of Shelby, North Carolina; several aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
