Stephanie Painter

Stephanie graduated from First Assembly Christian Academy, and then from Gaston College. She worked as a teacher assistant at East Elementary in Kings Mountain for several years. She was actively involved as a child and young adult at Chapel Grove Baptist Church in Gastonia. She enjoyed going to the beach to get a suntan with her family.

Stephanie is survived by her two daughters, Hannah and Ashlee Brooks, her parents, Roger and Cissy Painter, two brothers, Chris and his wife Kristy, Jeff and his wife Crystal, several nieces and nephews, her grandmother Joyce Painter, cousins, and her lifelong friend Rachel Absher.

A memorial service for Stephanie will be held at 12:30 PM on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Chapel Grove Baptist Church, 716 Camp Rotary Rd., Gastonia, NC. The family will receive friends before the service beginning at 11:00 AM. Reverend Roger Overton will officiate and offer words of encouragement and hope to all that gather to remember Stephanie. Burial service will be a private ceremony at a later date.
