I cherish the many good times I had with Shirley at Boonville School.  I loved the big old house the Riggan family lived in across from the school. I was thrilled when she invited me home with her.  She will be greatly missed.

When I was a kid and best friends with Brian, she welcomed me into an already brimming household in the 70s. She paid attention to me and made sure I cleaned my plate at dinner!  I learned about manners, respect, and being a young adult from her and the Cooper family.   Rest in Peace.

Heather & Brae and the Cooper extended family. Shirley was a large part of my childhood as my Girl Scout leader. I'll never forget driving up to Golden Valley in that big old blue station wagon in the "rumble" seat. We'd sing all kinds of songs like "When the Ants go marching" or "1000+ bottles of Coke on the wall" the entire way - I know it must have driven her crazy! But she loved us all. Steve & Kim, There's nothing that compares to a "mammas" love but knowing she's in a better place will hopefully ease your loss. When someone you love dies, you never quite get over it. I lived down the road from Mr. & Mrs. Cooper. One memory I have of her is when she clipped a newspaper article of my achievement in writing when I was about 12 years old & expressed joy to my mother & grandmother about having a future writer in the neighborhood. May God be with you all at this time. I wanted to extend condolences to the Cooper family on behalf of the Cabe & Queen Family.

I cannot express the gratitude I have for having had this wonderful and caring woman in my life. I am proud to have been part of her loving family and to have been a recipient of the love she shared. I will miss our talks and our Doc Martin and Downton Abbey marathons. She will truly be missed but never....ever forgotten
