She was born December 15, 1946 in Gaston County. She is the daughter of the late Winfred Donald Rector and Faye May Rector.
Sandra Retired from PSNC Energy in 2008 after 24 years of service. Prior to that, she was employed by the Gastonia Merchants Association and Credit Bureau for 18 years. She was a past local president of Credit Professionals International.
Survivors are her life partner, Don Holbrook of Gastonia, NC; and her son, Marvin Kyle Price and wife, Melea, of Oxford, NC.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was also preceded in death by her daughter, Leigh Anne Carpenter; and her sister, Jennifer Sue Johnson.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Monday, July 15, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC 28054. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM, Gaston Memorial Park, 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
