Randy was a native of Gaston County and was born February 9, 1951 to the late James and Varna (Byrd) Pritchett. One of his favorite hobbies was going on gambling junkets. For therapy he loved to play cards with his buddies in his game room at home. He and his wife Sheila loved to travel and enjoyed fine dining. His greatest love and pastime was spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Randy will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 37 years, Sheila Scruggs Pritchett of Gastonia, NC; son, Travis Pritchett and wife, Amanda of Gastonia, NC; two grandchildren, Caroline and Jake Pritchett; a beloved dog Chloe and grand-dog Axl.
He was preceded in death by his four siblings, Raymond Pritchett, Bill Pritchett, Joyce Dills and Barbara Harbin.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia. Pastor Dale Lawing will preside. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Charles Curry, Steve Shytle, Don Yarbro, Eddie Goodwin, Rich Jarman, David Kelly, Daniel Jacobs, Mike Godsey and Ed Mason.
The family will receive friends Monday, February 4 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.
