Patricia Barnette Rumfelt, 77, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2015. She was born August 25, 1938 in Columbia, SC to the late George and Doris Collins. She graduated from West Mecklenburg High School and the American Academy of Hairstyling. She became a licensed cosmetologist and retired after many years of teaching and practicing cosmetology.
Patricia leaves behind to cherish her memory three daughters, Renee Cannon, Joan Cannon Wolke and Candy Cannon Scism; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister; two brothers.
A celebration of her life will be held Monday, September 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, NC. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Walt Griggs will officiate.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Robin Johnson Hospice House, 5005 Shepherds Way Drive, Dallas, NC 28034.
