Michael Anthony Moody

Michael Anthony Moody, age 32, of York, South Carolina, passed away at Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, South Carolina on Thursday, February 02, 2012. He was born in Gaston County and was the son of Terry Michael Moody and the late Judy Turner Moody Ghorley.

Michael was a graduate of York Comphrensive High School, York, South Carolina and was a member of Legacy Church, Gastonia where he served as Youth Pastor.

Michael is survived by his wife, Brooke Danielle Messer Moody; father and step-mother, Terry and Melinda Moody of Ranlo; maternal grand-parents, David E. and Betty Black Turner of York; paternal grandmother, Betty Dockery of Lowell; brother, Brian Moody and wife Allison of Iron Station; mother-in-law, Carolyn Messer of Bessemer City; father-in-law, Daniel Davenport and wife Julie of Gastonia.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Legacy Church, 2315 Union Road, Gastonia and at other times at the home of Mike and Jean Harvell, 320 Pam Drive, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Legacy Church with Pastor James Terry and Bishop Carl Overton officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
