A native of Franklin County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late L. R. and Nina Holcombe.
Mrs. Dillard was a loving mother, grandmother and tireless worker. She was a member of Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church, secretary of the Nina Rikard Sunday school class, member of Happy Hearts and the Cramerton Senior Citizens Club. She was a 1941 graduate of Cramerton High school, worked at Burlington Industries for 30 years and retired after 10 years of service from Cramerton Christian Academy Daycare.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis Dillard and wife Jo of McAdenville, Kenneth Dillard and wife Sharon of Gastonia; sisters, Sue McCollum of Cramerton, Bobbie Taylor of Belmont, Joann Johnson of Belmont; grandchildren, Fran Dillard of Gastonia and fiancé Ryan Hershberger of Hartwell, Georgia, Amos Dillard and wife Melissa of Gastonia, Charlie Dillard of McAdenville and fiancé Devin Gaynor of Zebulon, Daniel Dillard of McAdenville; great granddaughters, Ellie Mae Dillard of Gastonia and Addison Dillard of Gastonia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Franklin Dillard; and stepmother, Sallie Holcombe.
A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Monday at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church with Dr. Danny Dwyer and Amos Dillard officiating.
Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Cramerton Free Will Baptist Church.
