Marvin Clell Davis, 95, died August 16, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a native of Robinsville, NC and the son of the late Junie (Nelms) and Harvey Lee Davis. Also preceding Clell in death are his wife Eva Irene (Lewis) Davis, sister Tince Creedmore, brothers Charles Hayes and Bobby Hayes, daughter-in-law Carol Davis, grandson Steven Davis and special friends of over 80 years - Bill Cloninger and Rufus Medlin.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Monday, August 20, 2018, Carothers Funeral Home Chapel, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia.
VISITATION: one hour prior to the funeral service.
Mr. Davis was a self-employed carpenter. He proudly served our country in W.W. II.
SURVIVORS: daughter; Junie Lang and husband Tony, sons; Marvin Clell Davis, Jr., Walker Lee Davis, Roy Davis and wife Barbara, Paul Davis and wife Sonja, James “Jimbo” Davis, William Davis and wife Melissa, Dwayne Davis and wife Becky and Marion Davis and wife Kim, brother-in-law; Earl Lewis, grandchildren; Scott Davis, Mandi Kline, Garrett Davis, Jason Davis, Tyler Davis, Michael Davis, Clay Davis, Sarah Smith, Chris Davis, Andy Davis, Adam Davis and Dylan Davis, 12 great-grandchildren, sister; Irene Rogers, and special friend Fred Compton.
