Lester Wilson Gaddis, 92, of Gastonia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday September 13, 2016. He was a long time member of Lake View Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Teacher and Choir Director. Lester loved music and was the director of the Golden Chorus in Gastonia for over 25 years. Lester proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during World War II. He also loved to tend to his flower garden and to do jig saw puzzles. He was a giving man who generously gave to many charities. He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Lester was preceded in death by his parents Frances Marion Gaddis and Laura Arp Gaddis and two wives; Virginia H. Gaddis and Betty Gaddis. There were also three sisters and five brothers who preceded him in death.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughters Marie Gaddis, Brenda Gaddis and son John and wife Pat Gaddis. Lester also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
