Kenneth Ray Hinson

A native of Stanley County, he was the son of the late Jacob Henry and Ethel Russell Hinson.

Mr. Hinson was in the National Guard for 23 years and retired from the NC Forest Service as a district ranger after 30 years of service.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy Hardin Hinson of Gastonia; son, Kenneth Ray Hinson, Jr. of Dallas; granddaughter, Erika Hinson of Dallas; and sister, Alma Farmer of Manning, SC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Archie W. Hinson.

A funeral service will be held 12:00 noon Tuesday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.

Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
