Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, James Jordan Sexton of Dallas, NC, Tina Staley of Gastonia, NC, Deborah Fortner of Mount Holly, NC, and Lottie Taylor of Gastonia, NC; sister, Rachel Mulinex of OH; eight grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 18, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. Pastor Michael Merritt and Pastor Jeremy Burrell will preside. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
