Joseph Cleveland Eudy, 84 passed away February 4, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born April 14, 1931 in Stanly County, NC to the late Charlie and Carrie (Burleson) Eudy. Joseph proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army and was a very patriotic man. He will always be remembered by his family for his love of gardening, fishing and watching NASCAR on Sunday afternoons. He was also an avid Carolina Panther fan.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife, Dorothy Eudy of Cramerton, NC; son, Jason Eudy and wife Jeni of Gastonia, NC, daughter, Julie Groom and husband Gary of Palestine, TX; four step-children, Joe Clubb and wife Ann of Gastonia, NC, Patricia Dye and husband, Tom of Gastonia, NC, Donald Clubb and wife Paula of Morganton, NC, Jerry Clubb and wife, Debbie of Cramerton, NC; eight grandchildren and nine step-grandchildren; sixteen step great-grandchildren; a few step great-great grandchildren; brothers, Marvin Eudy and wife, Gladys of Oakboro, NC and Dale Eudy and wife Ruth of Oakboro, NC; special nephew, Larry Eudy and wife Vicki of Oakboro, NC.
He was preceded in death by five siblings, Calvin Coolidge Eudy, Coy Lee Eudy, Louise Eudy Lowder, Shirley Eudy Turner and Ruby Eudy Carter; a step-son, Kevin Clubb.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, February 7, 2016 at West Cramerton Baptist Church. Reverend Mike Ivey will preside. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to West Cramerton Baptist Church.
