Jamie Scronce Kraft

Jamie Scronce Kraft, 57, of Gastonia, passed away on Monday, January 06, 2014 at her home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Shelby on October 20, 1956 and is the daughter of Doris Murray Lester and step-father, Fred Lester of Bessemer City and James Scronce of Shelby.

Jamie was a graduate of Shelby High School in 1975 and was a graduate of Gardner-Webb University with Honors and a BA in Business. She loved music, camping and music festivals.

Jamie was employed as a Benefits Eligibilities Specialist at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

Jamie is survived by her husband; George Kraft; son, James Dylan Davis and wife Charity of Shelby; daughter, Lacey J. Stanley of Gastonia; mother and step-father, Doris and Fred Lester of Bessemer City; father, James Scronce of Shelby; three grandchildren, Kennedy Davis, Karter Davis and Maddox Davis of Shelby;

brother, Wayne Scronce and wife Diane of Daytona Beach, Florida; sister, Kathy Scronce Hawkins and husband Larry of Shelby; best friend, Anne Southard of Shelby; two nephews; one niece; one great nephew; four great nieces.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia with a Memorial Service to follow at 4:00 p.m. Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home.

Interment will be private and at a later date.
