Jack Leverne Harrelson Sr.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Doris Harrelson of Bessemer City; son, Jack Harrelson Jr. and wife, Cynthia of Bessemer City, daughter, Marilyn Medina and husband Andres “Andy” of Carolina Beach, NC; sister, Margaret Wilson of Hudson, NC; grandchildren, Jason Ellis Harrelson and wife, Kellie, Mary O’Shea, Jason Richbourg; four step-grandchildren, Mark Medina Sherman, Rosalita Medina, Mani Medina Markham, Sherin Medina Jones; four great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Jordan, Ashton Harrelson and Sara Medina.

Jack was preceded in death by one son, Harold Benjamin Harrelson, four brothers and four sisters.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia. Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
