Eddie Neal Hawkins, 76, of Gastonia passed away unexpectedly on Monday March 20, 2023. Eddie was a life-long resident of Gaston County. He retired from Wix. He had a great sense of humor. He enjoyed buying and selling stocks. He was always working on his yard. All that knew and loved him will miss Eddie.
Eddie is the son of the late Josephine (Wise) Hawkins and James Harry Hawkins, Sr.
Eddie leaves behind his niece Jama Arnold of Gastonia and his niece Staci Lipscomb of Bessemer City.
A service celebrating Eddie’s life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Pastor Rufus Johnson will officiate and offer words on encouragement and hope to family and friends that gather to remember Eddie.
