These words were a comfort to Doris Kay Jenkins, 62, who passed away at her home on Friday May 20, 2016. Doris loved the Lord. She was a hard worker who always encouraged others. She loved her family dearly. Doris liked to read her bible. She had a good sense of humor and she enjoyed cutting up. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Doris was the daughter of the late Junior Moore and Oma Lee (Royall) Moore. She was preceded in death by her husband Judson Jenkins and one brother Johnny Moore.
Left to cherish her memories is her daughter, Angel Carl, her grandsons Dalton and Brandon Gordon, and her sisters Donna McClure of Gastonia, Carol Daniels of Charlotte and Joanne Webb of Gastonia.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia, North Carolina
A Celebration of Life for Doris will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, May 27, 2016 at Carothers Funeral Home Chapel in Gastonia with Pastor Bobby Callaham offering words of encouragement to the family and gathered friends.
Graveside and interment will be held following the Celebration of life service at Hollywood Cemetery 540 N Broad Street, Gastonia, North Carolina.
