Deborah Ann (Gaston) Bailey, 64, of Gastonia passed away peacefully on Saturday morning February 13, 2021. Deborah is the second of five daughters of the late Fredonna Marlene (Morse) and James Raymond Gaston of Jamestown, NC. Deborah was a wonderful daughter, devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She fancied Peacock feathers and all their colors in her clothing and decorating, attended Trans-Siberian Orchestra concerts and the Southern Christmas Show every year, enjoyed craft making of every kind and loved her beach home at N. She is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Charlotte earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She continued her studies at Presbyterian Hospital in Medical Technology. She specialized in Blood Banking and worked several years at the American Red Cross in Charlotte, NC. She was also a volunteer pre-school teacher for several years at her home church, Mount Pleasant United Methodist in Sherrills Ford, NC. She loved nurturing and working with the young children. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow J. Bailey and their sons, Patrick Gaston Bailey, 33, of Gastonia and Logan Morse Bailey, 31, and his fiancée Barbara West of Wilson, NC. Missing her grandmother is Deborah’s only grandchild, 12 year-old Molly Grace Bailey, daughter of Patrick.
