David Bruce Turner, 71, of Gastonia, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, Rock Hill, South Carolina. Mr. Turner was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late R.B. and Edith White Turner.
Mr. Turner worked for Fredrickson Motor Lines for 17 years where he received a Million Mile Safe Driving Award. David was also known for playing keyboards for many bands over the years.
Mr. Turner is survived by one daughter, Lynne LeGrone of Fort Mill; one son, Richard Turner of Rock Hill; one brother, Blair Turner and wife CheeChee of Laurel, Maryland; three grandchildren, Kalyn Turner of Charleston, Emilee Turner of Rock Hill, Hannah LeGrone of Fort Mill; one niece and one nephew and their children, and one uncle, Floyd Turner of Gastonia.
Private Graveside Services will be at Bowling Green Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ron Watts officiating.
Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his parents; son, Rodney Bruce “Rowdy” Turner; son-in-law, Dana C. LeGrone.
