David Wayne Jackson, age 58, of Belmont NC, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 30th 2024, surrounded by his loving family. David was a cherished father, husband, son, brother, and friend, deeply rooted in his faith as a devout member of South Point Baptist Church.
David graduated from North Gaston High School before furthering his education at Central Piedmont Community College. He built a successful career in the electrical contracting industry, with his final role at Infinity Contractors. Outside of work, David enjoyed playing golf with his friends and family, a hobby that brought him much joy and relaxation.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Lisa Jackson; his son, Zack Jackson; his mother, Ethel Jackson; and siblings, Lori Faile and Richard Jackson. He was a beloved uncle to Ashley West, Lindsey Jackson, Craig Jackson, Caleb Faile, Aaron Faile, Alex Faile, Connor Faile, Logan Scates, and Kaden Scates. David will also be dearly missed by his brothers-in-law, Chris Faile and Shane Scates; and sister-in-law, Jodi Scates, along with his mother-in-law, Joyce Scates.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Jackson.
David's life will be celebrated with a Memorial Service, beginning with a receiving of friends on Friday, January 3rd from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by the funeral at 6:00 p.m. at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park, 2205 Williamsburg Dr, Gastonia, NC.
A graveside service will be held the following morning, Saturday, January 4th at 9:00 a.m. at Gaston Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of David may be made to the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association or Samaritan's Purse, honoring his commitment to faith and charity.
