A native of Gaston County, she was born June 28, 1954, to the late William B. May and Betty T. Sinclair.
Cindy was employed in textiles at Carolina Mills for more than 10 years. After receiving her Associate degree, she worked as a loan officer for Wells Fargo. In addition to her work, Cindy loved traveling to the beach, fishing with her family, and completing large puzzles. She never met a stranger and could make anyone smile.
Cindy was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Moses Boyter Jr. and great-grandson Killian Daniel Buckley-Ciszak.
She is survived by her four children, Angela (Darius) Young of Shelby, Katherine Walker of Dallas, Moses (Lisa) Boyter III of Gastonia, Joshua (Laura) Boyter of Dallas; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She will also be greatly missed by her three sisters, Joyce Solecki, Janet Livingston, and Kim Arrowood.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley with Pastor Dickie Spargo officiating.
Interment will be at Hillcrest Gardens in Mount Holly.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Carothers Funeral Home in Stanley.
