Charlotte (Elliott) Shuler

Charlotte Elliott Shuler, 89, of Gastonia, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 11, 2022. Charlotte was born on November 22, 1932 in Marion, NC. She was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years working at Gaston Memorial Hospital and in private practice.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; RosaLee and Gordon Elliott Sr., her husband of 46 years, Gene, four sisters Nina Daughtery , Janet Williams, Sue Rose and Martha Rose.

She is survived by her three children; Sheree Shuler of Charlotte, NC, Steve Shuler of Gastonia, NC and Daniel Shuler (Fran) of Gastonia, NC; 4 brothers; Gordon Elliott Jr., Paul Elliott (Barbara), Sherrill (Nellie) and Jesse Lee Elliott all of Marion, NC.

Charlotte was a devoted and loving mother always doting on her children. She had many talents including crafting, painting and a particular passion for hand quilting. She made collar covers for her granddogs which they enjoyed showing off on special occasions. She was a natural at taking care of others, which made her an exceptional nurse. She loved the Lord and when she could no longer attend church, she never missed watching Dr. Charles Stanley. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her!

The family will receive friends at 10:00 AM on Friday October 14, 2022 at Carothers Funeral Home, 2205 Williamsburg Drive, Gastonia. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
