Callie Bell Fox Barker

Callie Bell Fox Barker, 84, of Gastonia, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2012 at Gaston Manor with her loving family by her side. Mrs. Barker was born in Banks County, Georgia and was the daughter of the late Alvin James and Martha Shubert Fox.

Mrs. Barker was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin A. Barker, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Sandra Barker; two sisters, Wilma Sistar, Margaret Fox; two brothers, Bud Fox, Lewis Fox.

Mrs. Barker was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Barker is survived by two sons, Marvin Barker, Jr. and wife Charlene, Mickey Barker and wife Rhonda of Gastonia; brother, John William Fox and wife Violet of Clover; two sisters, Mozelle Reaves of Dallas, Peggy Dees of Gastonia; two grandchildren, Amber Gladden and husband Joe of Kings Mountain, Rusty Barker and wife Candice of Belmont; two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday at The Colonial Chapel of Carothers Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Barnette officiating.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
