Brenda Ruth Slagle, 35, of Gastonia died tragically in an accident on Crowders Creek Road Thursday December 21, 2023. She was a loving mother of two beautiful young girls. Brenda was also a loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, cousin, aunt and niece. Her passing leaves a big hole in so many people’s hearts. She is truly missed.
Brenda is preceded in death by her brother, Aaron Alan Slagle.
Brenda leaves behind her daughters, Savanna Darlene Welch – age 11 and Sabrina Desirae Welch – age 7. Their father and her significant other, Jessie Welch, also deeply grieves the loss of Brenda.
In addition to her small family, she leaves behind many extended family members including her parents and her siblings. Her parents are Tamara Darlene (Canipe) Slagle and David Alan Slagle. Her brothers are William Bryan Slagle, James Richard Slagle, Daniel Thomas Slagle and Andrew J Slagle. Her sisters are Karen Darlene Slagle and Katrina Leah Esposito, and Katrina’s husband Marty.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at The Place Church in Gastonia with the burial to immediately follow at Gaston Memorial Park.
